TPE and CQC - Scrap Pages

Well, I ran behind yesterday and didn't post my TPE creation, so

I am adding it here today with my Colour Q creation.

I designed scrap pages for both of them.

The Pink Elephant's challenge is to design something using your favorite color(s).

Normally, my favorite color is ALWAYS Pink, but right now, I am really loving off shades of green.

I really like a green & yellow color scheme, soooooo........

TA DA...I did a scrap page featuring my youngest daughter, Ella.

I used the My Memories Suite Software and a mixture of several kits from MM to create my page.

I know I have mentioned it before, but I wanna say it again

I designed another scrap page using Arielle's Color Scheme as my inspiration.

This color combo REALLY kicked my booty.

It is certainly NOT my fav colors and to have to use them altogether, well, you

be the judge...AND don't laugh!! LOL!!

I tried, but it was definitely a challenge!! I just had to add a pinch of green! Yikes!!

I have 2 challenges to share with you today:

I designed a digital scrap page of one of my sweethearts, my daughter, Ella.

I did a scrap page of myself. Now, I do not normally hop into photos, I prefer to stay behind the camera.

However, I recently read an letter from a lady who put off getting her family's portrait done and soon after found out she had Cancer and well, you can imagine the sad ending.

My friend, Janet Bagnall and I chatted about this article and both agreed that we need to get IN photos, not just take them. We agreed that one day we will be gone (maybe sooner than we want) and that our family needs to have photographs of us.

Sooooo, for this reason...the next evening I took this photo of myself.

I scrapped it for my kiddos.

Birthday. The name of the font I used is Birth of a Hero...VERY fitting! My Hero!!

I found this sweet lil' thing sitting right beside & facing the same direction as the baby's

bouncer. Ella made it out of 2 pairs of Baby Nealan's socks and his baby brush from the

hospital...perfect bed for the little bunny my Mom (Mamaw) gave her yesterday!

I am very excited not only because this is the first day of a brand new and fabulous year, but it's also the very first day of a project I have just started...Twenty-Twelve in Photos.

ColourQ117 - What's Black and White and...

Yep, I'm still kicking...just a little slower lately!! LOL!

The holidays have worn me out and I relaxed, took a deep breathe and feel asleep for a moment.

Do you ever do that...run all day long on speed 10 and then when you finally get a chance to have a seat, you fall asleep...I do that ALL THE TIME!! Well, that is exactly what I've done...I sat for a moment (after working fo r2 solid, hard weeks straight on Christmas Orders...I'll have to do a post soon and show you what I made this year) and fell "asleep" for a week!! Hee hee!!

Break over...Back to work!!

Sad News and a HUGE Thank You

Hello my sweet and wonderful crafty friends!

I struggled with even doing a DT post today as I have sad news to share with you.

In the wee hours of yesterday morning, surrounded by her wonderful husband and loving sister, our beautiful and amazing, Katie went home...to Heaven!

Katie was such a light and Inspiration to so many of us in this crafting community.
I believe she brought us closer, taught us to cherish each day and love stronger!
I am in awe of her! Wow, what a woman, what a wife, what a mother, what a friend,
what a talent, what an inspiration and what a blessing!

Katie was in so much pain and awhile I am so happy that she is now pain free and in peace, resting in our Heavenly Father's arms...my heart is breaking for Kevin and her sweet boys.

I found my self in tears most of yesterday and I think I cried enough tears to float a boat.

My mom says that I have am very empathetic...that I actually got a double dose when empathy was being distributed. I feel things strongly. I love strong and I hurt strongly!

My mind is consumed with what Kevin and the boys and her family are feeling and thinking.

I know this isn't healthy, but I just want them to not hurt so badly!

All I can do for them is pray and I have being doing lots of that.

I will also continue to take any and all donations for Katie...yes, for Katie. Although, she is in Heaven...she said she was ready, but her concern was for her Boys (which included Kevin)!

When I decided to to the latest bundle, I wanted to do it for her boys. I think I knew in the back of my mind I knew what might be around the corner although I didn't want to admit it.

I really did the bundle with Kevin and Hunter and Will and Nate in mind and heart.

A little last something I we could all do for Katie...Help look out for HER BOYS!

I completely forgot to add the 3 little somethings up on the right hand corner of the card. Bummer...especially since I love candy dots and brads! Oh wee, at least I got to color and boy was it fun. Katie's Miracle - Another chance to HELP!!

I am writing this morning about and for Katie Renz you can meet her HERE on her Card blog and HERE on her Family Blog.

Many of you may know that she has a wonderful husband, 3 beautiful little boys, that she is a super Mommy and way talented crafter...she also has Stage 4 Gastric Cancer.

Today, her husband wrote an update on her blog. This is so sad, my heart is broken and my thoughts have been consumed with her and her family. I am continuing to pray for Katie's Miracle!!!!!

I hope will join me!

I was asked at the start of the year to design a stamp for Katie, I did and ended up getting an email from her telling me how much she loved it. Thank You Katie! She said it really was her boys. She was so very very sweet and very appreciative! Sooooo, I wanted to do a HUGE push of this image for her babies!! I told her we were going to do this and that forever this stamp would be theirs!! It just so happens that her 2 little guys have a birthday on the 19th of November and her big boy has one on the 1st of December. I would LOVE to bless them with a wonderful birthday and Christmas, so that Kevin and Katie do not have to think of worry about that!!

I have a triple hitter for you today...The Pink Elephant's challenge this week is a

personal fav of mine...I think it's really FUN!!

All you have to do is pick one of the DT girls' cards to C.A.S.E.

You can CASE (copy) the sketch or design they used, you can CASE the color scheme they used, you can use the same line of images they used, you can even use the same theme they used (example: if they have a butterfly of button them...create a card with butterflies or buttons) Easy Peasy and so much fun!
