Ribbon Weave Tutorial

Howdy Y'all!

I put together a tutorial on how to do my weave techniques (ribbon and card stock).

Claudia asked if I'd do a tut after my DT Card during the DCRU ribbon Challenge and to my surprise I recieved quite a few emails asking if I would so a tutorial, so I did!!

Claudia and Company NEWS

Claudia and Company is announcing their New Design Team...a member, a day!!!

I was announce on Tuesday, but have been too busy with the TPE hop and all that taking care of a family of 7 is , that I haven't had time to post!! I think it works out better anyway, cause now you can hop over and see who we have so far....they are fabulous and we have MORE fabulous girls being announced all week!!  This is an AWESOME team!!  I can't wait to see what they are have in store for the Puddle Jumpers!!  What are Puddle Jumpers you ask?!?!!?  

Well, they are a new line of Stamps I was asked to design, to be sold at Die Cuts R Us!!!Yippee!!!

I am on the edge of my seat with excitement for you all to get a glance at these little Sweeties!!! 

Claudia received the shipment and had them sent that evening to us, I received mine within 2 days and I am totally blown away at the quality...wow!!!  Beautiful red rubber, deep etching and ready to slap on an acrylic block. They are fab and I am so happy with the quality of the PJs!!!  

I couldn't ask for anything better!!!

Hi My name is LORi BOYD. The most important thing I'd like you to know about me is that I love the Lord with all my heart!  He is the King of my life!!!  He has blessed me with a wonderful, Godly husband, Eric, who loves me just the way I am and lovingly supports my addiction to stamping, scrapping and card making!!  He is my Prince Charming and I truly believe God made him just for me!  It is here in the beautiful Bluegrass State aka Kentucky...that I love, homeschool and care for, 5 sweet little bugs who call me Mommy!!   Together Eric and I have 3 - Hannah(13), Landon(6) and Ella(5) and feel honored to have been blessed with 2 little boys, McCoy(3) and Jussie(2), who needed a good and safe home. I am very thankful for my family.  I am also thankful for all the wonderful, kind and caring friends that God has brought into my life through stamping, paper crafting and blogging!! 

 

I started stamping/card making occasionally 4 years ago, but have been stamping on a regular basis and joining DTs since last January.  I love card making...It's like therapy to me!!!  I'm owner/DT member The Pink Elephant Challenge blog.  I design for Die Cuts R Us, Mo's Digital Pencil, Bee Crafty, Crazy 4 Challenges and The Wild Flower Kids.  Recently, I have been blessed to add stamp artist to my design resume with the release of my Lollipop Collection at Stamping Bella.  I'm a Scrap Club leader, Owner and Artist for my small at home business, By LORi Designs, where I hand paint on plates, platters, tote bags, etc.  I have always enjoyed everything creative...Quilting, Painting and Photography, just to name a few.  I love designer paper. My favorite embellishments are ribbon and buttons.  I am crazy for Polka Dots and the greatest color in the world is PINK!!! 

When Claudia asked if I'd design a new line of stamps for her, I was completely honored!!  The Lollipops along with my new collection called The Puddle Jumpers at Claudia and Company, God has blessed me with a way to help provide for my large family. Claudia is not just an Online Store owner to me, she is one of my greatest friends. I feel so blessed to not only call her my friend, but to be able to be by her side as she begins this adventure!!

If you have been hopping along in the right order than you know by now that I have challenged

Well, I picked that same challenge Hannah picked...no we didn't plan it...she picked hers and got to work, while I picked mine and started coloring!!   I just love to color, but Hannah...she has a very bad Copic addiction!!!  Hee hee!!!  I am laughing but it is true!!!

I had so much fun making this card!!!  First off, I used a Mo Image, You're my Best and who doesn't love a good Mo Image to color!!!  I also, sewed a little here, heat embossed a lil' there....added some distressing ink and actual distressing!!  I even took a stab at the crocheted lace embellishment I have been admiring!!!
