November - Dream Team Hop

The Dream Team hops again!!!
I love Mo's Images and what better way to showcase some of her stunningly
adorable drawings then to have a blog hop.
I am so happy to be on her Dream Team and look forward to these
Monthly Dream Team Blog Hops!!!

Thank you ALL for the wonderful comments last month, I was
honored to be the first hostess and blown away by all you comments!!

Our November Hostess, is Mel and the blog hop theme she chose is:

"Precipitation Inspiration"
We all had to use an image of Mo's that involved water (water, snow, rain, sleet, etc.)

I chose Mo's Super cute
$3.00
Matilda

One of the awesome things about Mo Digis is the fact that they are not only great
for cards, but PERFECT for Scrapbooking as well!!
You have to admit not all digis can be used for cards and scrap pages!!!

If you have a little girl...well, she HAS to take baths, soooooo why not pick this sweetie pie up from Mo and make your own bath time scrapbook page!!! You aren't gonna find a better image for your Splish Splash layout!!

I dressed Matilda up with Copics and Glass Enamel (for the puddle).

Here is the order of the hop:
Now you have reached the end of Mo's Dream Team Blog Hop
and this is a perfect time to visit

Mo's Digital Pencil Shop
for your own
Little Matilda and her friends!!

Speaking of her friends...Here is one who likes playing in the rain

Thanks for hopping by!!!

P.S. If you need a bit moreMo fun (and who doesn't) hop over to the Challenge Design Team's weekly challenge blog. A Brand New Challenge starts today!!

Saturday

Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C10

Hi Everyone and Happy Saturday to you all!!!
Over at Crazy 4 Challenges, our November hostess Frances Byrne has challenged us all to create something using acetate!! This certainly was a challenge and lots and lots of fun!!
Frances has a list of link to a few great acetate projects on the blog, so hop on over to the C4C blog to join in this week's excitement and to see all the other DT member's cards!!

Here are mine:

I used a Lollipop Baby, I designed for Stamping Bella, that ended up on the "cutting room floor". I felt sorry for this little sweetie, so I gave her a little color and I rather like her now!!

I see that black may not have been the best choice for photographing purposes and showcasing the acetate in this pink and black card. It looks much cuter in person than it does in these photos. I ended up just photographing it flat out after several attempts.

Hope you all will be inspired to use some acetate and join us for a great challenge at C4C this week!! Thanks Frances...loved your challenge theme!!!

Wednesday

Monday

DCRU Product Spotlight - Swings

Die Cuts R Us Product Spotlight
Swings

Designer: LORi BOYD

When I think of this product, the one word that comes to mind is...WOW!!
I am in awe of these simple, sleek and totally affordable clear sleeves of high quality plastic.

There are so many things you can do with the Swings.
A simple and popular use for Swings, is to incorporate them into your scrapbooking.

While coming up with the design of this page, I knew I had 3 photos of Hannah that I wanted to use. However, I didn't want to clutter up the page or cover any of the adorable scalloped edges of this Stella SPRING HAS SPRUNG designer paper, that BTW can be found HERE in the DCRU Store.
Swings, offered a great solution, by allowing me to keep the simple, clean & uncluttered design I had hoped for and still be able to display all 3 of my photos.

After, adhering my 5x7 photo in the desired position, embellishing around it a bit, I simply slide the 2 photo designs into the Swing sleeve, removed the protective backing on the adhesive strip of the sleeve and placed it right where I wanted it!!
Which allowed for extra space on this 12 X 12 page. Just by raising the photo filled sleeve, I am able to reveal another photo of my beautiful Hannah and add a little message that we will treasure for years to come!!

Now, I don't know about you but I am crazy for SWINGS!!!

When I set out to design a project that would showcase the Swings... as you saw above, adding a space for addition photos was what I came up with, however as I was assembling my page and preparing for this post, my mind was going wild. I kept thinking of all the endless possibilities for this inexpensive, yet highly useful product.

Why not design and create a mini album with your swings.
You get 6 in a package, so just think that gives you a place for 12 photos...wow!!!

Get this stylish embossed look with the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Moroccan Screen
which can be
purchased in the DCRU Store HERE.
What a great Christmas gift for Grandma & Grandpa or any special someone in your life!!

What about a Keepsake or Little Memory pocket.
You know... a spot to guarantee that something as small as a baby bracelet or the sweet bow you used to place in her hair has a safe place to stay until you pass it on to her one day.

This page contains a photo of me as a baby, a reduced copy of my Birth Certificate, my I.D. Bracelet from the hospital and a one of my baby booties. I am going to ask my Mom to write in the journaling area for me!!

Don't you love this adorable polka dotted Designer Paper...well, guess what...it's
Stella RING AROUND THE POSIE
and you can get it HERE in the DCRU STORE.

I personally had a favorite pair of socks that Landon used to wear (or should I say only got to wear twice). I loved those adorable booties, so when one was lost I didn't want to throw out that sweet, single and sad little sock that was left behind, so I have saved it.
Swings has offered me a fantastic way to to remember and cherish that little lone sock!! Although, he will be 7 in March, I plan on digging out some baby photos and scrappin' an adorable scrap page featuring that "Favorite Little Sock"!!

But don't wait until one of your favorite baby booties gets lost, take a few photos now.
Maybe a few one sock on, one sock off, toes in his mouth kinda shots, then keep that sock, drop it in a Swing, print those photos and design a scrapbook page based around YOUR little sweetie and his sock!!

Like I said before, the list of uses for the Swings is endless.
Here are just a few of things I can think of to slide in a swing:

Your favorite baby bow
A piece of baby's favorite blanket or outfit
A wedding keepsake
Old photos
Treasured jewelry
A favorite recipe
A pile of photos to scrap at a later date
Your Grandma's old buttons
Your pregnancy test (lol...yep, I kept mine)
Baby's stat card from their hospital bed
A lock of hair from their First Hair Cut

Oh My Goodness, I am getting excited about all the scrap pages I am gonna be making. With 5 little ones ranging in age from 12 to 1, I have a lot of catching up to do. Having 5 kiddos is also the reason I have to be careful what I spend, which is why I am sooooo happy that Claudia has placed the Swings on Sale this week...they are regularly 6.99, and they will be on sale this week for 25% off.
Yipppee!!!
Go to the DCRU Store and get your SWINGS!!
Get'em before I do!!

and

Ella in Trouble
...
Mo created an adorable little scene entitled Sam in Trouble (the cutest little boy caught coloring on the wall, whom I will color soon) and offered it to her Dream Girls last night...someone mentioned a little girl in trouble and I said, my kiddos never colored on the wall but that Ella was notorious for getting into my makeup!!!! Here is proof of one of those occasions...

Mo just happened to be doing a girl and makeup was her theme, sooooo she named her Ella!!! She even managed to capture Ella's "Oh Great...I've been caught, so no more fun" scowl on her face!! How sweet!! Thanks Mo!!!
