Do Not Copy for any reason.
Thank You!

Hi Everyone!!
Finally, I have internet (it's not working the best or the fastest, but at least for the moment it is working) Yippee!! Thank you all so so much for the wonderful comments and best wishes!! I wasn't able to get my Paper Bag Album posted on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog for my 10 am spot, so I decided to just post it here.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with a Paper Bag Album - the Album itself is made of 4 to 5 Paper Bags. Ironed, then folded in half, then stacked together to make the Album!! You can then sew it at the binding to reinforce the the durability, and punch holes to add ribbons (or any other chose of embellishment, such as Cord, yard, rings, etc). Then you just got to each page and embellish as little or as much as you wish!!
Hope you all enjoyed it!!

Cuttlebug Be Inspired #16

Boo Hoo!! Due to the Winter Storm and No internet, I missed out on getting my card sent to the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog in time for the Be Inspired Challenge #16. I will just post it here instead. As you can see I can do other colors besides Pinks and Greens (LOL) and look I can even do boyish cards!! Who would have thought!! LOL!

A Distressed Card

Bad Weather - I am Back!!!

Well, as you all (those of you with electric, cable, internet, phones) have probably seen there have been a few states dealing with a Winter Storm. Kentucky is one of those states and we experienced some complications from the weather. It is now about 10:45 am on Thursday, Jan 29th and I can now say that we have everything back, up and running (with nearly 300 emails to read)!!
I have to admit in a way it was a nice break from everything... Eric was off 2 of the days and we played puzzles, games and just had good ole' family fun!!
On a sad note, I did miss out on getting my card loaded for the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog Be Inspired #16 Distressed Card, so I will have to post it here (in the next post).

Here is a picture of the weather...What you can see is pretty, it's what you can't see that is so dangerous!!
This is today...NOTHING compared to yesterday!

Thanks for your support and I hope you will be inspired!!

Update: Now, that the Tutorial has posted on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog I can now show you the card...Tah-Dah!!!

Supplies were all Stampin' Up, Of course!! All the details are on the CB Challenge Blog.

I have to say the the Butterflies were inspired by my great friend Bekki, who is, as I call her the Butterfly Queen...She has done some Amazing Butterfly Cards!!
Therefore, I'd like to dedicate my first ever tutorial to Bekki!!
Thanks for Inspiring me Bek!!!

My First Tutorial - I Weave, You Weave!!!

A few weeks ago, I was putting away a pile of Cardstock Scraps (I never throw scraps away).
I was thinking, there has to be something I can do with these long strips of Cardstock. Then, I remembered a fun little craft project my class had done way back when I was in elementary school. Weaved Place mats! Remember, those? I am sure we all made one at some point!!! Excited with my idea (this may have already been done, but I haven't seen it) I got right to work and Voila!! This was the outcome of what I thought was one of my grandest of grand ideas!!
Hee Hee~!

A Weave Card
After Maggie from Cuttlebug Challenge saw the card on my blog, she asked if I would mind doing a tutorial on how I made it. Without Thinking it over or considering the fact that I have never done this before, I agreed, silly me, which brings us to where we are now!!! Hope you all like it!

A Weave Card Tutorial by LORi BOYD

Supplies you will need:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Provo Craft Cuttlebug Machine
1 to 2 Cuttlebug Folders
of your choice
Card stock or Designer Paper
Colors of your choice. Length depends on the size of card you want.
Quality is important to me so I use Stampin' Up!

Paper Cutter
For nice long neat, even cuts
Scotch Tape
Snail Adhesive
Stampin' Dimensionals
Sizzix Bigz Top Note Die

(or any other tool that would allow you to make a frame for your woven art)

Stamp Set or Embellishments
of your choice

Start your weave by lining up all the strips of one color of card stock or designer paper.

Next, alternate colors and weave. Up and over, down and under.

Continue...
Keep going...

Until it is as big as you want it to be. Push the strips of paper together as tight as you desire, then place a few pieces of scotch tape on the back to hold in place.
Then, Cut off the excess with your paper cutter.

Neat, huh!?!?!
Now, it's ready to emboss, using the Cuttlebug Folder of your choice.
Simply run through your Cuttlebug machine.

Now, you are ready to assemble your card.

I used Sizzix Bigz Top Note from Stampin' Up! for my frame.
And YES!! These do work with the Cuttlebug!! Yipee!
Here is the sandwich you will need: Plate B, Die(facing upwards), Card Stock & Plate B
Works Perfectly!!!
Using your Snail Adhesive, adhere your woven art piece to a pre-cut and pre-folded piece of card stock(your card base). Then, affix your frame (can be a circle, scallop, square, etc) with Stampin' Dimensionals over the edges to hide the mess! And you are now ready to embellish!!!

Tah-Dah!!! I decided to embellish my card using the Dreams de Jour Stamp Set from SU!
I heat embossed the sentiment and the butterflies with black embossing powder, then adhered them using Stampin' Dimensionals. And topped it all off with a little loose sponging effect.
I hope you like it!!

Puppy Update: 4 days old

PUPPY Update: 4 days Old- January 20th~2009

I checked all the puppies yesterday when I took these pictures and we have...
9 girls and 1 boy!!!! Girls Rule!!!
I haven't really let the kids hold them and look at them yet. Graycie had such a rough 2 days of delivering. I have wanted her to rest and bond. Not to mention, once my four little rugrats know that the puppies are in there I am afraid I will have a tough time keeping them away from the puppies!!

Hannah is already working me, trying to get me to KEEP them!! NO way!! There is NO way we are adding the care of 10 puppies to my already overflowing list of to Dos!!
So. I will be selling them.
Girls will be $200 and the Boy will be $175
I will take them to their first Vet visit and get their first shots
.
One of the puppies already has a reserve on it!!
If I have it figured correctly and the vet okays it they will be ready to go to their new homes on the 27th of February!! They will be 6 weeks old then.I pray that they will go to ONLY good homes. That is SO important to me.
Golden Retrievers need lots of exercise, love and attention!!!
