I had so much fun coloring this image and creating this binder!
I do believe I could sit and color ALL DAY!!
When I was little...I remember laying in the floor watching my Mom draw paper dolls for me and my sister. I remember one day in particular...my Daddy had just been sent (alone) to Germany (the first of a couple of trips)... my Mommy (22 & pregnant with my littlest sister, MaryJane), my little sis, Angie (3) and me (just 10 months older than Angie at 4) went to live with my Mamaw and Papaw while Daddy was away! On this day, while playing outside...me and Angie had seen several planes fly over and as each one flew we danced in the yard and waved, while yelling "Hi Daddy" Hi Daddy...we love you!" We thought our Daddy was in every plane! Many times Mommy would come and dance and wave and yell with us! All the time knowing he wasn't in that plane, but wanting us to be happy, she would play along!
Even though it was always exciting to see a plane fly over because we felt close to him for a moment...it also was sad, for as the plane got smaller and smaller...it would feel like when he left again and we were reminded that he was away!
This day, when we started to get sad...Mommy rushed us into the house and got out our favorite things...the crayons! She sat and drew paper dolls for us, for what seemed like the rest of the night!!
She would draw anything and everything we requested, then we would color them!!
I didn't know then that she was helping to get our minds off of the fact that we missed our Daddy terribly! All I knew was that my mom was the BEST Mommy in all the world and that coloring her paper dolls was my favorite thing to do!
As the years have gone by...EVER time I see a paper doll, I think of that day!
I hope that I succeed in creating memories like this for my babies!
Thank You Mommy for teaching me to be the Mommy that I am!!

Well, ladybug...you got the old water works going with this post. I think you had an amazing Mom too and I know that she rubbed off you. I always enjoy the posts about your families and seeing how in love you are with all of your children...its a wonderful thing.
Your binder is another work of art. Mo created her beautifully and you brought her to life...she's stunning.
Smiles!
Gwen
