Hello and Happy First Day of Spring!!
Guess it's safe to say...It's time to get "Springy" with it!! So that is just what I did!!
I made a very quick and super simple Easter Bucket for Hannah (I'll make one for Ella, Landon, McCoy and Jussie later). When I was little my Mom ALWAYS made the 4 of us Easter Baskets, decorated and filled with lots of candy and treats. They would be waiting on our coffee table or the old floor model T.V. for us on Easter Morning. We could tell whose was whose, since the treats she put in the baskets were very personalized...using our favorite colors, candy, coloring books and toys.
That is one family tradition if have carried on to my children.
I decided this year to make all my 5 little candy monsters a smaller version of my normal Easter morning surprise. This year I will make them all their own little miniature bucket.
Less, Candy for them...Less work for me!! Hee Hee!!!
Here is a peek at Hannah's Little Easter Bucket!!

Hi Lori....loving Hannah's little easter bucket...so cute and my favourite easter treat was hard boiling eggs from our chickens...painting them and then rolling them and finally eating them.
Hugs Kath xxxxxx
adorable Easter basket! my parents were immigrants so we didn't have Easter baskets growing up and to be quite honest, i am not much into candy, but i can't resist the chocolate eggs! =)
we didnt have easter baskets but always went to the Easter Show when we were children and got to pick a doll and have cotton candy! smiles W
I would have to say my favorite easter candy was cadburry eggs YUM!!
Cute bucket!! My favorite easter treats were chocolate covered marshmallow eggs... YUM!!!
What a sweet Easter Bucket Lori. I love it.
My favorite easter treat was the chocolate bunny that had a bag of smarties inside.
Oh that is the cutest! My mom used to do something very similar for us. I think my favorite candy would have been PEEPS lol
Such a cute little Easter basket! My favorite Easter treat was marshmallow creatures. We got them from a small chocolate shop and they were so much fresher and gooier than Peeps.
Love the bucket!! It's so cute! My favorite candy for Easter is the chocolate covered marshmallow bunnies! Mmmmm Now I want one! :o(

I love visiting your blog and listening to Shania. Okay, my whole family likes to listen to your blog music. Your Easter bucket is adorable! Love those little ribbons. My favorite Easter treat were Peeps, but my favorite Easter basket "toy" were those litlte pipe cleaner chicks that were about 3/4" tall.
My fave Easter treat was always the eggs we coloured and decorated. Such fun!!!!
Oh ... how lucky your children are to have such pretty buckets.
We didn't have Easter baskets when we were little ... but I used to enjoy making bunnies out of facecloths and putting Cadbury Cream eggs in them to give to my friends as a wee treat.

Well, I don't know if I love the bucket or the frame better. They're both cute!
My favorite Easter treat was not in our Easter basket. Our parents always tried to get us spring chicks or bunnies to raise at Easter. I loved playing with them. I know they made a mess, but I just loved them (until, of course, the fox got them!) We lived on a small farm, so we always had animals of some sort around. I will always treasure that.
LORi, what a cute bucket!! SWEET!
Hello Lori!! My Mom also did this for me and my siblings, except our baskets were hidden and we had to find them Easter morning. I do this with my kids now too :)I think my favorite candy were those Robin Eggs, (colored malted milk balls). I liked them because once you licked them you could paint your lips with them lol. They don't make em like that anymore!
Hi Lori - I think that my favorite Easter candy was the chocolate Bunny. I always looked forward to him/her.
Every Easter, my grandfather would give me the chocolate covered marshmallow eggs in the egg carton and the marshmallo peeps in pink. That was my favorite memory. He is gone now, but my husband still leaves them for me on Easter morning in his memory.
Tina
What a cute basket! My favorite treat was the chocolate bunny in the middle of the basket! Yummy! Cathy

Adorable bucket! I always make a basket for my parents, but this might be a really cute idea for them this year! My favorite candy when I was a kid would have to be Sweetart chicks and eggs. And it's still my favorite now!
Lovely project.
My favourite easter basket item was always the tiny foil covered chocolate eggs. And they are still a favourite today, so many years later.
Guess I'm showing my age, but my favorite things at Easter were just the colored eggs and plain old jelly beans. We got circus peanuts and robins eggs (malted milk balls) as we got a bit older too.
Love your bucket!
Great blog candy, Lo! I guess my favorite Easter treat was the stuffed animal!
Hi Lori,
My favorite candy is the cadburry eggs, that's because the Chicken bunny leaves them. I never knew there was such a critter till our daughter was born and old enough to enjoy Easter, she always asked grandpa for chicken bunny eggs.
Enjoy :) Lori m
I used to love the big malted easter eggs. I used to like that you could lick them and pretend you were putting on lipstick. Now I eat the little ones because I don't want it all over my face.
I heard a funny story one time about easter baskets. A brother got up in the middle of the night and put raisins in his sister's easter basket. When she found it her brother told heer that the easter bunny did you know what in her basket. I think maybe I saw it on the Cosby Show!!!
Have a nice weekend with your kids!!
Blessings,
Christine
I don't know what they are called but I loved the chocolate eggs with the hard candy shell. Those are THE best, now I want some! LOL

Ah - has to be chocolate buttons especially when I'd carefully opened up the bigger egg around it and found the little packet inside - it was the excitement I think!!
My favorite was the easter nests, now I'm a big kid it still is!
we didn't have baskets, the tradition in our area was bonnets, we always made easter bonnets decorated with flowers and wore them to church on Sunday !! ha ha bet we looked lovely ha ha then we went home and made ourselves sick with choccy easter eggs :-)

Adorable baskets Lori!!!! The colors are just perfect for spring. :D I love the story and how you are carrying on the tradition with your kids. What a sweet thing to look forward to.

My favorite easter basket treat was the chocolate bunny and fudge eggs.

Adorable little bucket!!!
My favorite easter treat was getting a Chocolate Bunny. My Mom still gives me one every year...lol
Oh my goodness, that Easter bucket is just the cutest!!
My favourite Easter treat was (and still is!) Cadbury's Creme Egg. What makes them eggstra special is that they are only available to buy in the run up to Easter, so they are a real 'treat'.
Thanks for the fabby candy.
Hugs, Sem
Oh my favourite Easte candy is the wee mini creme eggs. I just love those wee boys and unfortunately I eat far to many of them. Love the Easter bucket, might get my son to make one of those this year, thanks for the idea, Karen xoxo
I'm not much of a candy girl so my favorite treat was always the yummy hard boiled eggs made all the better by being some fun bright color.
Hi Lori,
Love the Easter bucket! Can there be any other answer than PeeP's marshmellow Chickens. I can still picture raiding the pantry at a friends house (my mom always hid the peep's with the next door neighbor)when I was 3 years old. We were just taking a bite when the pantry door opened and we were busted. I'm sure there wasn't really a flashbulb and news camera going off for a front page picture of thieves caught but that's how I remember it in my guilty mind! Totally Busted!
I still look longingly at the packages of Peeps 48 years later but the last time I tried them they were just too, too sicky sweet so while they still look good I don't eat them any more. So sad to leave childhood behind.
Thanks for the inspiration, the walk down memory lane and the offer of awesome candy!
Easter Blessings - Jean
I've really enjoyed the blog hop and all the tutorials and Easter projects. When I was young my favorite Easter treat was chocolate covered marshmallow rabbits. I have several siblings, and my Mom used to buy them by the gross!
