My first time using Copics

Ok, so I had to see what all the buzz was about so I purchased my first Copics (from Claudia at DCRU). I could only afford a few!! And of course, I had to have Mo's NEW Image 1st Birthday Girl!

Now, I'll show you my first ever Copic creation, but you have to promise NOT to laugh!! I have never even seen a Copic Marker, let alone been Certified to use them...LOL!!! I just used them like I would any other marker (you professional Copic users will say Duhhhh! to that, I am sure). I loved using them...No Bleeding on the digital image!! Now the bad part....I want MORE!!

Her skin was colored with SU! Markers...I couldn't afford to get more...YET!!

Supplies:
Image: Digital from Mo's Digital Pencil
Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White
Accessories and Tools: SU! Pacific Point Ribbon, SU! Eyelet Border punch and Cuttlebug- Swiss Dots Folder

wow! didn't take you long to master the Copics Lori. I think for a first attempt you should be more than happy with the result. The card is so sweet too. Loving that ribbon and the colours. xx

Gorgeous card Lori - you're taking to them like a duck to water!!
I've been resisting them so far as they seem so very 'morish'!!

Lori, Your card is beautiful. My first copic card sure didn't look this good. Be careful they are addictive. I only buy a few at a time and now have about 150.

Great card, I was thinking about getting this to make a card for one of my granddaughter's who will be 1 in Dec.

Hey Lori,

Too funny! I just got my first Copics today! However, I went hog wild and $120 bucks later I am home just googling over them. I am so so sick, I want a double set of each so that when one gets dirty I still have a pretty looking set! Of course with these all you have to replace is the nib and add color, so to my hubby's relief I won't be getting all my colors in doubles! I love using them, but I also love my Prisma markers, and Prisma watercolor pencils! Any who, I love your card I don't think anyone will be laughing but maybe ooohing and awwing! Too sweet!!

I'm with you...the whole Copic thing is a little intimidating. You did a great job. I purchased only 2 a few weeks ago, but haven't used them yet (GASP)...my craft area is such a mess I can't feel relaxed in there - need to do some cleaning first. You've inspired me to give them a try. Great Card.

Great job on this design of Mo's!! I love Mo's work but she keeps putting up so many new ones, I can't decide which to buy! I did color the boy version of this one! Fun.
