Inky Impressions

I am so excited!! I received my new Inky Impressions Stamp/Blog Candy from Nicole and I must report I am super impressed not only with the total adorableness of this stamp, but also with the quality...WOW!!! With all the detail (yes, in case you haven't noticed these little ladies even have fingernails) that these stamps have, I was really shocked to see them produce such crisp, clean, awesome stamped images!! Hannah and I had so much fun coloring the images and making these cards!!! Seriously...I am sooooo pleased with these stamps as a whole!! It's great when you find a stamp company that you can tell has worked hard to bring it's customer pure perfection...Inky Impressions has done just that!!!!
I hope you all find time to check out Nicole new line of stamps and believe me if you decide to invite one of these little Cutie Pies to your stamp studio...You won't be disappointed!!!!

Thanks very very much Nicole!!! Your stamps are fabulous!!!

Vicki's Post - For Ethan

This is a post by Vicki Garrett of Summerthyme Studio...It touched my heart and I HAD to share!!!
What a wonderful reason to purchase a stamp!!!! I hope that this big world of crafters will come together and show the Make-A-Wish Foundation how we support great causes!!!!

Look at Vicki's card and post below:

Pink Cat Studio is releasing these new digital stamps today to raise money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation in honour of Ethan Wieman. Little Ethan passed away on June 12th from Neuroblastoma Cancer. Ethan was a true cowboy, loved horses, balloons and knock knock jokes. By purchasing these digital images, you will help brighten the day of a sick child as the money that is raised, will go toward making one of their dreams come true. You can follow this link to Pink Cat Studio to contribute to this worthy cause in Ethan's memory and to read about this remarkable little boy.

My eyes filled with tears as I read the words of Ethan's Mother, Alicia.....I know that anyone would be saddened by this touching story, especially those of you that are parents. For those of us who have lost children, the pain of other's losses seem to seep right into the empty space deep inside of ourselves; that place that should be filled with memories as we guide our children into adolescence and adulthood. What I do know is that Heaven has one more Beautiful Angel and I truly hope that Ethan's family finds as much comfort in knowing that he watches over them, as does my Angel Timothy watch over me and Jonathon.

Please help me spread the word of this very worthy fundraiser. I would really appreciate if you could post a link to this post, on your blog. I am offering a twenty dollar gift certificate to Pink Cat Studio for one random winner who leaves me a comment with a link to their blog post.

I will keep choose a winner on Friday June 26, 2009

Thanks so much for Supporting the Make-a-Wish Foundation in Ethan's memory.

The BEST Award EVER

"The Exalting Christ Blog Award "
I will treasure this award from Kristine
To me this award is what it's ALL about!! Everything we do, should be for Him and about Him!!! I am honored to have received this award!!! Like I told Kristine, I pray for the Lord to let His light shine through me, I never really thought about the fact that it could possibly be shining through my blog as well!!!!
Thank you, Kristine!

This blog award is given to bloggers who consistently exalt the name of Christ on their blogs. What a joy to see crafters blend their passion for Christ and paper crafting. This award is given to bloggers who share Christ through their posts or through the design of their artwork. We are commanded in Scripture to be 'salt and light' sharing the Good News of Jesus no matter where we are (Matthew 5:13-16). This award is just a way members of Women to Women: Sharing Jesus can say thanks for exalting Christ with us!
Rules:
  1. Post the blog award in a regular post on your blog with the explanation, including the original link to WTW and the rules for passing the award along.
  2. Name five people to whom you want to offer this award and link to their blogs. The blogs need to obviously exalt Christ in some manner.
  3. Contact the bloggers you have named to let them know they can pick up their blog award from you.
  4. Invite them to permanently display the WTW blog badge and/or the award on their blogs. The badge can be obtained on the WTW site.

These are just a few of my Christian Blogging friends. A great, big, huge thank you to everyone who shows the light of Christ on their blog!

I'm Addicted

It's Official...I am 100%, Head-Over Heels, Crazy, Over the Moon, Utterly Addicted to
Hanna Stamps
I haven't really had that much experience with clear stamps, actually I've only used one other company so I had nothing to compare to, BUT I am so impressed with the very clean, clear, crisp way that Hanna Stamps stamp!!!
Not, to mention they are one of my favorites to color!!!!
I am SERIOUSLY in LOVE!!!
Soooo, I HAD to make another card.

My Little Hannah, loves them too and she has had a blast this evening coloring them!!!
When I was young, I LOVED coloring books, especially Barbie Coloring Books. As soon as I got a new one, I'd quickly thumb through it, picking out all my favorite pages to color...Hanna Stamps are EXACTLY what ALL my favorite pages looked like!!! I feel like a fashion designer!!
Every time you stamp her, she's like a fresh canvas just waiting to be colored!!! She is any woman and every woman!! So hip, funky and totally cool!!! The kinda girl we all wish to be!!
Hope you all are enjoying your Hanna Stamps as much as I!!
I am kicking myself for not opening her sooner!!!

My 1st TGF Challenge

The challenge this week at The Greeting Farm is to use NO layers.
I liked the idea of challenging myself to use only no layer, so I did!!
And here it is:
Of course, I had to use Grad Ian, in honor of Landon's KG graduation!!
He loves "his" card!! I sure hope the girls at TGF do as well!!

I must admit although the NO layer challenge was fun, Adding the Crystal effects in the abundance I did, sure weighed the card down. Maybe next time I will use a bit less!!
I used a black marker to draw lines on the side of Ian to imply a frame (or tiny layer) , the ribbon finishes the "frame". The crop-a-dile was used to make the embossed dots on the top and bottom of the card. I then used a paint brush to create a background using Stampin' Up! Inks Soft Sky and Basic Black!!
Congratulations was stamped with Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Set "Congrats"!
This was fun!!!

Hanna Stamps

Hanna Stamps are looking for a few new Guest Designers!! Even though I am nervous, I have decided to give it a go!! I hope they like my card. Wish me luck!!

I have to add that I am very very impressed with the way Hanna Stamps stamp!!
Super clean and crisp!! I Love'em!!! Now, I got to get the umbrella set!!

I am off to drop this into the Hanna Stamps Forum on SCS.

My Little Landon graduated from KG

This past Saturday, June the 6th my little Landon graduated from Kindergarten. Exactly, 17 years to the day that I graduated from high school!! Whew, time sure does fly...especially when you are having fun!! Landon is such a sweet soul, so kind and tenderhearted!!! He was so excited to be on stage, to be the leader (he was the first kindergartner), not shy like me at all!

On the way there he told the kids, "Now, get ready guys we are going to a party. Not a fun party, an important party. It has cookies and cake, but that's not the good part.
The good part is ME and I am gonna graduate! Please be good, so I can have a happy day"!!!
He did and we did!! One of my favorite parts was...A sweet young lady (also homeschooled and a friend of Hannah's) Holly sang the sweetest song (It made me cry)...although I didn't know at the time, it is a Taylor Swift song "The Best Day". Listen below.... I must admit Holly's version was better that Taylor's believe it or not!!!
