TPE- Challenge #8

The Pink Elephant Challenge # 8
Woo hoo!! This challenge...I definitely had fun with!!! I didn't make a card this time around.
I decided to do somethings that were a little more fun.
In honor of the Easter Theme this week...I made Candy Holders and Bunnies!!

Candy Holders
For the first bag of candy,
I filled a really neat cone shaped plastic bag (sent to my from Jennifer Meyer) with fun colorful Easter candy. Tied the top of the bag, then added a pretty ribbon. Then, used Stamps and Smiles Stamps to embellish tags. I think the little eggs in this adorable little Easter Set work perfectly!!
The second bag, is embellished with a topper made from the Stampin' Up! Top Note Die folded over and then decorated using the SAS set once again. You can't go wrong with these stamps!!
BTW, there is a sale at SAS!! Have a peek!!

Punch Bunnies
I kept thinking today ... I need to try and make a bunny using the SU! punches!!
Well, I sat down and here they are:

Supplies:
Lots of Yummy Stampin' Up! Cardstock and Designer paper!! I love it!!
Punches: Large Oval, Small Oval, 1 3/4" Circle, 1 3/8" Circle, 1/2" Circle
Markers to draw their faces and Liquid Applique for there tails!!
I had fun!! I will certainly be making more of these little things!!

SAS - Sketch Challenge 8

This is my Stamp and Smiles card this week.
I made it for their Weekly Sketch Challenge, but after I assembled it and got ready to take a picture...I noticed that I had it backwards. It opened the wrong way.
I went ahead and photographed it anyway, but then decided to fix it, here it is corrected.

Get "Springy" with it!!!

Hello and Happy First Day of Spring!!
Guess it's safe to say...It's time to get "Springy" with it!! So that is just what I did!!
I made a very quick and super simple Easter Bucket for Hannah (I'll make one for Ella, Landon, McCoy and Jussie later). When I was little my Mom ALWAYS made the 4 of us Easter Baskets, decorated and filled with lots of candy and treats. They would be waiting on our coffee table or the old floor model T.V. for us on Easter Morning. We could tell whose was whose, since the treats she put in the baskets were very personalized...using our favorite colors, candy, coloring books and toys.
That is one family tradition if have carried on to my children.
I decided this year to make all my 5 little candy monsters a smaller version of my normal Easter morning surprise. This year I will make them all their own little miniature bucket.
Less, Candy for them...Less work for me!! Hee Hee!!!

Here is a peek at Hannah's Little Easter Bucket!!

Leave a comment and tell me what your favorite Easter Basket treat was when you were a child was and I will enter you for a chance to win my Spring Blog Candy!!
On Sunday at Midnight, I will close the blog candy contest and announce the winner
Monday on The Pink Elephant Blog!!

SU! SAB Stamp Set - Congrats
2 Small Paper Bag Albums
Making Memories - Spring/Easter themed Epoxy Shapes
Baggie of SU! Sizzix Naturally Serif Alphabet Die Cut Letters - 26 in Pretty in Pink
and 26 in Bashful Blue

Don't forget The Pink Elephant is also
welcoming the First Day of Spring... with our very first Blog Hop. Lots of games (first one starts tonight at midnight), a mini challenge (that just started and will run all weekend), tutorials, and bunches of prizes!!!
I have to admit, I have done very little to help with this Blog Hop.
Robin on the other hand is another story!!! She has planned and organized it all!! I must send a very special Thank You to her!! Robin you have been amazing!! You have taken our ideas and made them reality!!
I have been crazy busy with life and all it brings and you "hopped" in and made it happen!!
Thanks from the bottom of my heart!!
You are the BEST blog partner in the world!!
Love U Friend!!

The Pink Elephant Challenge #6
is here and boy did I enjoy this one!!
It's a Theme Challenge and I chose Buttons!!
Yipppeeee!! I am crazy for buttons!!

This is certainly one of my favorite Pink Elephant Challenges!!

Since I desperately need a new journal/notebook for cute little words that come out of my sweet babies mouths, life giving scriptures I can peek at during my hectic days, little reminders of this and that, a quick design thought and much more...I decided to get a good ole' dollar composition notebook from Walmart and embellish away!! As you can see...I didn't hold back!
I love my NEW notebook!!!

SAS - Sketch Challenge 6

Happy Thursday!!

I am so excited to bring to you another great Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge!!!
I have had so much fun with these sketches created by Mercy for Jennifer at SAS!!
I can't believe that just a short month or so ago, I had never done a sketch & was afraid of them...and now, I am having a blast with them!! You really can learn something new everyday!!!
Wanna know what I learned today?

1. I am still CRAZY for this adorable little cupcake stamp...Cuppy!!!!
She is just too cute!!

2. The Stamps and Smiles Stamp Line is so versatile. I am amazed at how easy it is to interchange the stamps from one set and use them with the stamps from another set and it REALLY WORKS!!
In this card, I actually used Cuppy Love, Egg Hunt and Mama Bunny Loves You!!
I love it that Jennifer designed some smaller pieces like the eggs I used to stamp my own "designer paper"!

Jennifer Meyer, owner and designer for her stamp line, Stamps and Smiles has SO much in store for us. I feel so blessed to get to help spread the word that SAS Stamps are just so cute!! Seriously, if ya haven't hopped over to the SAS Store and purchased your own set...Well, I hope you do soon as you are really gonna love them!!

Hope you will all join us for the SAS Sketch Challenge 6 on the SAS Blog!!

OCC - Add a Doodle

Hello Everyone!!
Hope you all had a wonderful week and that you are ready for some fun this week at the
OCC Challenge Blog.

The Challenge this week is to Add a Doodle to your card/project!!
Something in your own hand... it could be writing a word or adding some hand drawn stitches, anything just have a blast!!
When you hop over to the OCC you will notice we have a few new faces, we have some new additions to the Design Team~ Robin Willis, Frances Byren, Jenny Gropp, Loretta Lock and Vicki Garrett!! Welcome Girls!! We are so excited for you to join us!! I have to say that already in just the few short days we have been working together is has been so fun and feels so right!! I can already tell that this is gonna be one fine Design Team!! Woo Hoo...Go OCC!!

I was torn about putting my hand drawn image on my card, if you have been reading my blog for awhile, then you know that it is a dream of mine to one day create my own stamp line. I have a great desire for this, but I only want it IF it is God's Will for me and my family and only when He says the time is right, so until then I will continue to doodle and dream. I was actually a little scared to put my images out there as for when I do I know that I am allowing others to view them and possibly steal the idea and part of or all the image that I have designed. I decided to go ahead and place my hand drawn image on my blog as well as the OCC Blog, because my images are copyrighted and I trust that what is meant to be will be!!
Therefore, without further ado...my card and image!! Tah-dah!!!

Supplies:
Image: By LORi Designs ~ Copyrighted04/2009 LORI BOYD
SU! Cardstock: So Saffron, Bashful Blue & Whisper White
Designer Paper: Chatter Box
Ribbon: Stampin' Up! So Saffron Ribbon

Tools: Cuttlebug, CB Embossing Folder Swiss Dots, SU! Double Rectange Punch (for border)
What I doodled:
I hand wrote the sentiment Baby BOY, added the plaid on the sentiment oval and drew the image of the baby, which is 100% property of & copyrighted by LORI BOYD 2004~2009.
Please DO NOT Copy!!
Thank You!
