OCC - Sketch Challenge

Good Saturday Morning to you all!!

Today is Saturday and what does that mean? OCC Day!! That's right another OCC Challenge!! It's a sketch challenge and I am having a blast with sketches...I can't believe I had never tried one until recently and now I LOVE'em!!!

Valerie Salmon Sketch

I can't believe it....Valerie Salmon has done a Sketch
for the Cuttlebug Challenge . If you follow my blog you know that I have recently done my first sketch, I have always been super nervous about following sketches, but know after having to do my first one on the OCC last week, I am finding sketches so much fun!! I have been a huge fan of Valerie's for some time now, I have always stalked her blog, wanting to try one of her sketches or even her Got Sketch? Classes, but never felt brave enough to try...until now!!
I love Valerie's Style and her Studio is to die for, so when I got the opportunity to join in one of her Sketch Challenges...Oh You know I was there!!!

I love this Sketch!! I think this is an awesome sketch for a Scrapbook Layout, but I think in order to join the challenge it has to be a card, so I made mine into a card, however I have plans to do this same sketch as a Scrap page as well. I can just see a photo above those buttons to the left a little.

Day 3 at Stamps and Smiles!!

So Sorry, I didn't have this up sooner, but I have been caring for a house full of sick little ones and not feeling very well myself.

Well, I don't know about you but my favorite part of Easter was ALWAYS painting the eggs. This new stamp set from Jennifer Meyer at Stamps and Smiles is perfect for all of you egg coloring fanatics out there (myself included of course). I had so much fun. You just have to get this set Eggstra Special, which will be available Friday!!

Today is my little sister's birthday, I can't believe she is 31 or that I am 35. it doesn't seem possible. It feels to me we are all still as young as we were in the photo below!! I love my family! I love my childhood!! I love that God blessed me with these siblings!!

Mama Bunny Loves Me

I'd like to say a very big Thank You to everyone who is helping to make this a fantastic week for Jennifer Meyer. Some of you may have the dream to design your own stamps, I know I do!! Jennifer has made her dream a reality and I couldn't be happier for her. The kindness that all of you have shown her, the nice warm welcome and all the support you will continue to give is so appreciated by Jennifer. She is so kind and is so excited to bring to all of us this awesome new stamp line. What a big step she has taken!! An investment for her family's future, not just a new stamp line!! Jennifer I am so happy and completely honored that you have picked me as one of your Design Team members and as one of the people to share your adventure with, but most of all I am happy to call you friend!!
Congratulations on a job well done!! I pray God continues to bless you and your family!!

Stamps and Smiles Reveal

I am so excited to announce that I am on a NEW Design Team called Stamps and Smiles. Jennifer Meyer from Jennifer’s Sweet Designs has created a
NEW line of stamps & they are SO sweet!!

I have to say that I don't normally use clear stamps, as I am a huge fan of Stampin' Up! and the clear stamps I have tried in the past haven't always been the best quality. This is certainly not the case for Stamps and Smiles, I am so impressed with the quality of these stamps. Their durability is amazing!! I have had so much fun coloring the images and I know you will enjoy as well!! I can honestly say that Jennifer has went out of her way to make sure that every detail of her new company is perfect, that you, her customers have the best quality products, the cutest stamps and a place to play and have fun!! Her new blog is absolutely adorable and I can't wait for you to see all the pink and polka dots!!

The Pink Elephant Challenge #2

It's that time again...The Pink Elephant Challenge time!!

The entire Design team and I were completely flabbergasted at the response The Pink Elephant received last week. I was hoping that everyone would love the blog and that someone would play along in the challenge, but I honestly never imagined that TPE would be this big of a HIT!!

is the title for this week's challenge. Tina came up with this challenge idea and I am so glad she did. The object of the challenge is to use anything blingy, anything with sparkle, anything dazzling!! It was super fun and as you can see I went sparkle crazy!!!
I even used Shrinky Dinks, SU! Flower Punch, Heat Gun and Dazzling Diamonds to make those little flowers!!

OCC - Sketch Challenge

Good Valentine's Day Morning! The OCC's challenge this week is a Sketch Challenge. It was my very first sketch challenge. I enjoyed it! It was so much fun!!

SU! Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Pretty In Pink
SU! Designer Paper: Candy Lane
SU! Sentiment Stamp: Love You Much
Cut out the hearts out of Very Vanilla, Cuttlebugged them with Swiss Dots, then layered them on SU! Pretty in Pink and Chocolate Chip.
I Cuttlebugged the Very Vanilla square with the Cuttlebug embossing folder Hearts.
Then sponged on a little PIP and CC Ink with a make up sponge.
Added Chocolate Chip double stitched ribbon and topped it all off with crystal effects, just to make it pop!!

My New Scarf and Blog Candy

I Love Scarves!! I like to wear pretty scarves. I have lots of colors. Normally, my Mom makes my scarves for me...I see a yarn I like and she makes a scarf just for me. Yesterday, I got a NEW scarf and it wasn't from my Mom....It was from my friend Bekki!!! I love it!! It is a beautiful color...a color I don't have. She used black and a Charcoal Eyelash Yarn. It has such soft texture and lovely dimension to it!! I wore it tonight to a 31 party I went to and I wore it with pride!!! Thanks Bekki!!

Hannah's 1st TPE Challenge

I had to show off the card that my daughter, Hannah made for The Pink Elephant's 1st Challenge. She has begged me to be on the Design Team, of course I had to say No!! I told her she could make a card, enter it in the challenge, but she was not allowed to win because she is my daughter. She was so excited saying, "Ok Ok Mommy, I will make a card...I don't care if I can't win a prize...being in the challenge is my prize!" She gave me a hug and a kiss and off she went to make this card!! I hope everyone is this excited about TPE!! LOL!
I must say I am so proud and very surprised, as she made this all on her own!!

Wow!! I am so excited to be on the OCC Design Team!!
Yes, you read that right...Me, designing for THE OCC!! I know you are thinking, LORi on a Design Team with those talented girls from the OCC?? I was thinking the SAME thing, but Jennifer herself called and asked me personally to join them...of course I said, YES, but boy am I NERVOUS!!! I did my card for their first challenge, which was to Design a card with your favorite Embellishment!! Here is what I came up with, I hope they liked it, but more important I hope YOU all like it!!! Tah-Dah!!!

Good-Bye Cuttlebug Blog! Hello New Adventures

I must let you all know that my time as a Cuttlebug Design Team member is over.
I have decided to resign.
I feel God is directing me in other directions.
It was fun and I feel so blessed to have met all these girls on the team and to even be able to call a good handful of them friend. I can also say that I have been able to met a lot of new blog friends through your visits to my blog!!
